1. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We prepare individually for every class — reserving your studio slot, assigning your dancer and instructor, and setting up filming equipment. For this reason, our cancellation windows are firm. Please read this policy before you book.

All times are in Korean Standard Time (KST, GMT+9), calculated from your booked class start time.

  • Changing Your Booking: You may change your date or time once free of charge if requested more than 12 hours before your booked class start time. Contact us via email (shakethekpop.kr@gmail.com) or social messaging (Instagram, LINE, WhatsApp, KakaoTalk, WeChat). A change request is confirmed only once we reply. Requests made within 12 hours are treated as cancellations.

  • Late Arrival: Classes start strictly on time. Late arrivals will still end at the scheduled time with no refund or extension for missed time.

  • Group & Private Bookings: For Private Class bookings, cancellation windows apply to the whole booking. Reducing participant counts within 12 hours of class start does not qualify for a partial refund.

 

Cancellation by Us

We will cancel a class only under exceptional circumstances (e.g., instructor injury/illness, studio issues, power failure, government orders, or severe weather warnings).

 

If we cancel, you may choose:

  1. A full refund of everything you paid, or

  2. A free reschedule to any available date and time.

(We are unable to compensate for travel, accommodation, or external expenses.)

 

Refund Processing & Delivery

  • Payment Method: Approved refunds are issued in USD back to your original payment method (PayPal or Card) within 3 business days. Bank/PayPal processing may take an additional 5–10 business days.

  • Exchange Rates: Refunds are issued in USD. Any bank conversion fees or exchange rate differences are non-refundable.

  • Videos and Photos: Class footage is part of the experience. Delays or personal dissatisfaction with footage do not qualify for refunds. In the event of a total technical failure resulting in no footage, we will offer a partial refund or a free reschedule.

 

How to Request & Consumer Rights

To request a cancellation or refund, email shakethekpop.kr@gmail.com with your booking name, date/time, and reason. We reply within 2 business days.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce or other applicable laws.

These Terms govern your use of www.shakethekpop.com and your participation in any class or service provided by SHAKE THE K-POP.  By booking a class or using this website, you agree to these Terms.

  • Opening Event pricing is a temporary promotion subject to change. The price shown at checkout applies to your booking.

  • Classes are recreational experiences, not professional dance training.

 

3. Booking & Payment Terms

  • Advance Booking: Regular Classes must be booked at least 24 hours in advance; Private Classes require 48 hours.

  • Currency & Payment: All prices are charged in USD. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your slot.

  • Song Selection: For Regular Classes, the featured song is revealed on the day of the class.

 

4. Participation & Safety Rules

By attending, you confirm that you are physically fit to participate and will follow instructor safety instructions.

  • Medical Notice: Please inform us beforehand of any injuries, medical conditions, or pregnancy.

  • Behavior: We reserve the right to remove any participant without refund for threatening, discriminatory, or unsafe behavior.

  • Minors: Participants under 18 must have bookings made with parental/guardian consent.

 

5. Media Rights (Photos & Videos)

During booking, you specify your consent regarding media usage:

  • "I Agree": You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use your class media for promotion (Website, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).

  • "I Do Not Agree": We will deliver your footage to you privately and will not publish material where you are identifiable.

  • You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

 

6. Liability & Property

  • Assumption of Risk: Dance involves physical movement. You voluntarily assume ordinary risks of participation.

  • Personal Belongings: Keep valuables with you. We are not responsible for lost or damaged property unless caused by our direct negligence.

  • Limitation of Liability: Our total liability for any booking is limited to the total amount you paid for that booking.

 

7. Intellectual Property & Governing Law

  • Website Content: All text, logos, images, and designs belong to SHAKE THE K-POP.

  • Music & Choreography: Choreography is taught for personal enjoyment. Music rights belong to original copyright holders.

  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Korean courts.

This policy explains how SHAKE THE K-POP collects, uses, and protects your personal information across www.shakethekpop.com, our classes, and messaging channels.
